Gyeongbok Palace - South Korea "Part 3 second day"
From
Everland, the bus drove to Gyeongbok Palace. About an hour's drive (quite late
"4pm more" when we arrived at Gyeongbok Palace), but we still have
about 1.5 hours to explore this place. Because the palace gyeongbok opened to
the public from 09:00 to 18:00.
Gyeongbok
Palace is a palace located north of Seoul (Gangbuk), South Korea. This palace
is included in the list of 5 largest palaces and is the largest palace built by
the Joseon Dynasty.
Gyeongbok
Palace was originally founded in 1394 by an architect Jeong do jeon. But this
palace was destroyed at the time of the Japanese invasion of Korea in 1592-1598
and was rebuilt in the 1860s with 330 complexes of buildings in which there are
5,792 rooms. Standing on an area of 410,000 square meters, Gyeongbok Palace
is a symbol of the majesty of the kingdom and the people of Korea.
In
1911, during the Japanese invasion of Korea, they destroyed all the palace
buildings except 10 main buildings.
Then
Japan made Japan's Main Government Building for the Korean governor-general in
front of the Throne Room. The main buildings of Gyeongbok Palace include
Geunjeongjeon, Throne Room and Gyeonghoeru Pavilion which has a lotus pond and
48 pillars with granite material.
Inside
the Gyeongbok Palace there is the National Folk Museum of Korea. Many Koreans
are hoping his government can restore the original form of the palace. Thanks
to archaeologists' hard work, 330 buildings were successfully rebuilt.
Signing
in from the main gate there is a large beautiful garden, seen a white building
that stands with its handsome. Visitors are still crowded, so when you want to
take pictures should choose a position that is not too crowded.
Fairly
spacious, quite Tired also surrounds every corner of the part of Gyeongbok
palace. There is a building located in the middle of the lake. Pretty and
impressive.
Here
there is also a service that rents typical korean clothes complete with her
makeup. Visitors can wear traditional korean clothes to get around the palace,
to take pictures starting from the entrance to the exit.
