In the peak area there is a very popular
location with the name of the padlock of love. There are thousands or even
millions of locks called Love Lock (사랑 의 자물쇠) mounted on the fence with a variety of
writing containing the ideals made by lovers. Then the locks of the padlocks
are discarded in the hope that they will not be separated. Love Lock is also
common in other countries, for example in China, Uruguay, Taiwan, etc.
The idea of installing a padlock in N Seoul
Tower comes from local tourists who see something like this also in Tokyo
Tower. Then became even more popular after a pair of Korean celebrities, Alex
and Sinae came dating there on MBC We Got Married, and even made the number of
padlocks increase.
